Is a fullface helmet practical for biking?I plan to ride my bike to school this fall but I want a different helmet. The one I have now is big, bulky and it just looks stupid sticking off of my head. Is a fullface helmet practical for everyday use? I've had a pretty bad fall before and it is
Practical for stunts, jumps, etc. - as someone else stated. For on the streets - it will somewhat block your side vision. If heat is not an issue, any helmet from a discount store will do. Normally I wouldn't say that because where I live it gets hot.
A description of a few of the full-face helmets that That Biker Chick carries.
2012 Triumph Adventure Motorcycle
There's no doubt about - the adventure touring market is on the rise. And as this ascension occurs, so does competition between the lead adventure motorcycle manufacturers. This is especially good for the consumer, considering it keeps the products evolving.
The latest from Triumph is the 2012 Tiger Explorer, which the UK-based company says "sports a high specification that will see it set a new benchmark in the adventure touring class."
Part of this "high specification" arrives from the brand-new, 1215cc three-cylinder engine that powers the Triumph Tiger Adventure. This motor, which utilizes a ride-by-wire electronic throttle system and requires 10,000-mile services, is claimed to produce 135 horsepower with 89 ft. lbs. of torque, numbers that will make it a class leader in the adventure motorcycle segment.
On the way out to the Deerfield, I stopped on Rt. 2 for lunch #1 at a small, but good diner. The menu was good in that I would have gladly eaten anything on it, based on both the quality of the food and the taste. I sat at the counter, and talked to the girl working there about food. Food is good. Mr. Jones (Counting Crows) came on the station, and I heard her singing along. I commented on how good that kind of music is. 90’s rock is spot on. We talked about it for a little bit. On the way home, I stopped back at the same lunch place for more food, and after paying, gave her a CD with the Pete and Mike Band’s stuff on it. Good people deserve good things besides tips, and I figured it was appropriate.
