At first I was looking at all kinds of expensive wireless options to put music in my helmet, while on those long cross country motorcycle rides, but came to find the GSI headphones here on Amazon. In the past I've used ear buds and very carefully tried to put the helmet on my head without pulling them out of my ears but this ususally resulted in a comical amount of time & effort as it never worked the first try. I got these yesterday and installed them in about 5 minutes. There is a layer of double sided tape on the backs to retain the speakers to the helmet. The tape is actually attached to a layer of velcro so you can remove the filter for cleaning & easily remove the speaker without having to try to get them placed exactly where you had them before. This set also comes with a stretchable coiled cable with an inline volume adjustment and shirt/jacket clip. My helmet now slides on and off of my head as it should and the speakers dont get in the way. I used them on the way to work where I had a mix of driving conditions, from 70+mph freeway to 15mph school zones, and they provided enough sound to overcome any exterior noises. Are there better option? Sure. But these are very well worth the $20. EDIT: 6 month update. These little speakers continue to work well and I'm still very happy with them. The only thing I'd like to add is that as the fall winds picked up my poor Ipod didn't have the power to overcome all the extra wind noise without becoming too distorted. I'm probably going to add an external power amplifier to the mix for next season for those days where there is a lot of extra outside noise. Alternatively I could ditch the cheap HJC helmet and get something of a better quality that will also help in eliminating the noise. The amplifier I was looking into: FiiO E5 Headphone Amplifier 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. You get what you paid for... By Grunk! Daily sportbike commuter, with anywhere between 45min to an hour ride between home and work (depending on what speed the throttle "sticks" and traffic flow...). During which time it does help to have something to listen to other than the surrounding traffic. So began my search for an alternative to ear buds like previous reviewers and came across this. After reading the comments about this item and carefully thinking about it while trying to readjust my then current earbuds within my helmet on one of those mentioned commutes, I decided to take the plunge and try it for myself. At $19.99 and the option to return if not satisfied, I figured it shouldn't hurt. I've been using it for almost a month now and the bottom line is this: - It's $19.99... - It does what it's supposed to do... - It does not cancel wind and noise...see picture for explanation! ;) - It's $19.99... - It does need an amplifier to boost the sound (i.e. Fios, Boostaroo...) - It's $19.99... - It lacks instructions but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure which is right and left and where and how to mount it... - It's $19.99... - It is very loud in helmet with(when) volume (is) maxed out, no ear plugs, and not moving...otherwise see 5th comment - It's $19.99... - Coiled cord with clip-on and in-line volume control is functional and can be manipulated with gloves on... Overall, satisfied with this purchase. Delivery of this item was suprisingly fast with standard shipping! Tracking feature was very helpful. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Does the job By Vic Not sure what all the gripes are about. These work and do the trick for what you need. I have an 08 HD Street Bob with Screaming Eagle pipes and stage 1 intake. On the road going 80-85 these provided enough volume to drown out a good amount of wind noise but not too loud you can't hear what's going on around you.
