STAMFORD, Conn. — Rivalry games, a doggie meet-up and a program on how the City of Stamford got its start are just a few of the events going on this weekend in the city.
Friday, April 27
Stamford High vs. Westhill High: 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The city rivalry will be in full force Friday with both the softball and baseball teams at the two public high schools squaring off. The softball game will take place at Stamford High, 55 Strawberry Hill Ave., at 4 p.m., and the baseball game will take place on neutral territory at Cubeta Stadium, 120 Bridge St. (Scalzi Park), at 6 p.m.
Astronomy Nights: Saturn — Lord of the Rings: 7:30-8:30 p.m. Take the kids to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road, and learn about Saturn. The program is suitable for children 5 and older; $3 for adult non-members, $2 for children non-members, free for members.
