A documentary about Dynasty's gowns and clothes and the show's fashion designer...
Film enthusiasts gathered in the Regency Ballroom at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax to celebrate Atlantic Canadian female filmmakers and their new works on April 7th during the 5th Annual Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival.
The Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival (HIFF) is dedicated to the exhibition of film and video as art, in a noncompetitive festival setting free from commercial and industry agendas. Focusing on Canadian artists and on the short film as a form of expression, HIFF takes place over seven days each spring in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is presented by the Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative (AFCOOP).
“ WIFT-AT ’s Women In Atlantic Canada program was a new addition to the festival’s line-up this year and with the amount of submissions and interest surrounding it, it was quite clear that there was a need to showcase the talent that is coming out of our region.” says Sarah MacLeod, HIFF Festival Coordinator.
